The Centrifuge (Model Centra CL-2) is used to process semen for freezing. The Centrifuge features an easy to use control panel, with adjustable rpm (revolutions per minute) and timer. The Centrifuge comes
complete with a high quality Swinging Bucket Rotor that holds eight 50 ml centrifuge tubes.
The Rotor is designed to produce consistent, centered pellets. All Rotor accessories are included. The Centrifuge has a maximum rpm of 3100 when used with this rotor. The compact size of the Centrifuge maximizes laboratory space. The overall height is 11" with the cover closed and 24" with the cover open; the width is 13", and the depth is 16 inches. There is no brake on the Centrifuge, providing for more consistent, unbroken semen pellets. The Centrifuge also features a safety lock so that the cover cannot be opened while the rotor is in motion.
