This new Hemacytometer Kit is useful for manually counting sperm in situations where our Densimeter cannot accurately determine semen concentration. This happens where samples are contaminated with dirt or other
debris, as well as in samples that have already been extended which is typical in a frozen semen breeding program.
The Hemacytometer Kit includes complete instructions and supplies for eight measurements and
is intended for use with a microscope. Customers who already have the Hemacytometer may order just the resupply items needed to make measurements, available in a "resupply kit" or in bulk quantities.
Please note you will also require a Hemacytometer Kit User Guide and ARS Capillary Holder with your initial order of supply items as the measurement process has changed.
BD Diagnostics discontinued the BD
Unopette System. BD suggested a replacement product (Thrombo-Tic) which is used in the new Hemacytometer Kit.
