The availability of different AV Case sizes allows for a more effective fit for each individual stallion. Scientific research has proven that properly fitted AV's permit the stallion to ejaculate into the tapered end
of the combination liner and cone, thus decreasing the number of spermatozoa lost in the collection equipment. It also reduces the possibility of heat damage to the spermatozoa when semen is improperly collected. A
reduced length AV weighs less and allows for easier manipulation of the device during seminal collection. All CSU Model™ AV Cases include an integral handle, filler
spout and removable cap, made of light-weight, high-strength plastic. AV Cases may be special ordered for collection of the horse from the right side or without a handle.
The SAV-103 CSU Model™ AV Cases have a small cuff on both ends. The smaller cuff allows easier installation of reusable latex products. The original style SAV-102 CSU Model™ AV Cases have a larger cuff on the end where the stallion enters.
